Testing
IgA and IgG Food Sensitivity Tests
Have you wondered if you have gluten sensitivity and need to avoid gluten? Ever questioned why you bloat with some foods while most people don’t? Food allergies and sensitivities are recognized to be correlated with many plaguing health conditions, but with proper identification and elimination of offending foods, many experience relief from their symptoms. Our antibody assessment panels can serve as useful tools in the identification of trigger foods in individuals.
We offer a general 96 food panel, as well as 4 specialized panels to help identify sensitivities to foods and spices found in typical Asian, Japanese, Mexican, Vegetarian diets.
Adrenal Cortisol Test
The adrenal function test measures salivary levels of adrenal hormones, specifically cortisol and DHEA throughout 24 hours. Low salivary cortisol levels are associated with various symptoms, such as
- insomnia
- difficulty waking
- fatigue
- disturbed concentration
- chronic allergies
- multiple chemical sensitivities
- depression
High salivary cortisol levels are associated with
- decreased immunity
- bone loss
- anxiety
- disturbed sleep
Exposure to chronic stress eventually leads to depletion of the cortisol resulting in fatigue symptoms. Additionally, it is important to assess the adrenal hormone ratio of cortisol to DHEA since an imbalance is associated with insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and difficulty losing weight. If there is excess cortisol over DHEA, this can result in accelerated aging and the breakdown of bone and muscle.
COVID -19 Antibody (IgG & IgM)
If I get tested, what will the results tell me?
Test results may help identify if you were exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 and if so, whether your body has developed antibodies. This type of COVID-19 test is for individuals who think they may have had COVID-19 in the past and do not currently have symptoms.
This test can detect the presence of blood proteins produced in response to COVID-19 using a serum sample and state of the art technology.
Colon Guard
An effective and noninvasive screening option for adults over 45 and older at average risk for colon cancer. Colonguard finds 92% of colon cancer, even in early stages, when it is more treatable. Colonguard uses DNA from the cells that are shed naturally every day form the colon through normal bowel function to assess the presence of abnormal cells.
Trace Mineral Analysis
Using a sample of hair, this test reflects the presence of heavy metals and minerals in the body. Using this knowledge, nutritional patters can be better honed to optimize overall health, and treatment plans can be formulated to purge the body of toxicity.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D helps to regulate optimal immune system function, plays a vital role in forming and maintaining strong bones and teeth, and helps to maintain a healthy heart. Testing for this vital nutrient can be done conveniently at the D’Adamo Institute.
